Farming is very important in Wisconsin. Our state takes pride in the fact that we have farms that have been in families for over a century. Whether you are just starting your farm business or its been passed down from generation to generation, Richards Insurance can help you find the coverage you need to protect your legacy.
Richards Insurance has been offering Federally Subsidized Crop Insurance for over 20 years. Multi-Peril Crop Insurance is offered through the Federal Crop Insurance Corporation (FCIC) and must be purchased before planting begins. Types of multi-peril crop insurance include:
Organic Farming
Yield Protection (YP)
Revenue Protection (RP)
Area Risk Protection (ARPI)
Covered losses include those caused by excessive moisture, drought, frost, freeze, plant & insect disease, hail, wind and wild life. Crops that can be insured with MPCI are corn, soybeans, wheat, canning crops, oats, forage and tobacco. Insurance is available at different levels to meet your specific needs.
Crop Hail Insurance protects your crops from hail and/or fire damage before they have been harvested. Crop Hail Insurance is available for corn, soybeans, wheat, canning crops, hay, tobacco, oats and fruit crops. Unlike Multi-Peril Crop Insurance, Crop Hail Insurance can be purchased any time during the growing season and can be used along with MPCI.
Covered losses include those caused by hail, transit coverage, fire & lightening, fire department costs, canning reject and catastrophic loss.
At Richards Insurance, our job is to make filing a claim easy on you.
