This is a client-facing support role for our Group Benefits producer, ideal for someone who is organized, personable, and passionate about helping employers and their employees navigate health insurance with confidence.

About the Role

As a Benefits Account Manager, you’ll serve as the primary point of contact for our group benefits clients, working closely alongside our Group Benefits producer to deliver outstanding service from enrollment through renewal. This is a support role, so no cold-calling or sales quotas - but there’s real opportunity to grow into cross-selling additional products for the right person.

What You’ll Do

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned group benefits clients, answering questions and resolving issues promptly
  • Manage new employee onboarding into health plans, including enrollment support and answering benefits questions
  • Meet in person with clients periodically to review plans, deliver renewals, and strengthen relationships
  • Prepare and deliver marketing materials and plan documents to groups
  • Coordinate with carriers on enrollment and changes, as needed
  • Support renewal processes, including gathering census data and preparing materials for review
  • Identify opportunities to introduce clients to additional products, such as life insurance, and connect them with the appropriate producer

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience in health insurance or employee benefits strongly preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - you’re comfortable being the face of the agency for our clients
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, especially with plan documents and deadlines
  • Comfortable working in-office and occasionally traveling locally to meet with clients
  • A team-first attitude and willingness to jump in wherever needed
  • Life & Health insurance license preferred, or willingness to obtain one

  • Assist with policy quoting, updating client information, and issuing policies and/or certificates
  • Support personal and commercial lines teams with administrative tasks
  • Process policy change requests, pull certificates of insurance, and update client records in the agency management system
  • Scan and file documents and assist with projects as they arise

  • Comfort managing competing priorities
  • Clear, professional communication by phone, in person, and in writing
  • A genuine enjoyment of helping people
